What Is Premature Ejaculation
What is premature ejaculation? Otherwise referred to as reaching sexual climax before the desired moment in time, happens when two people are engaged in the sexual act. The man loses control of his sexual reactions, specifically his climax, without wanting or planning to. And it comes accompanied by strong feelings of inadequacy, sexual incompetence, and intense frustration at being unable to provide sexual joy to one’s partner.
It is a common desire to be able to extend the sexual act as this brings enhanced sexual pleasure to both partners. If the man is unable to prolong the act by way of ejaculating before either partner is ready to end the occasion, this can only result in feelings of frustration, especially on the part of the man.
Considering that it is the sexual satisfaction of both partners which hinges on the man’s ability to hold on until it is the right time to climax, it is but natural for the man to wonder if there are ways by which he can change his ability to hold on, to not climax before he decides to. Fortunately, there ARE ways to counter this sexual problem.
There are several issues that require serious consideration if the man is determined to change the way things are. Most of these have to do with certain mental/emotional conditions which heavily influence the man’s capability to prolong the sexual act. While these are largely personal in nature, some factors also require effective communication between partners. This will serve to enhance intimacy and acceptance of each other’s limitations, as well as strengthen trust in each other, paving the way to less stress about one’s sexual prowess which strongly affects performance.
Certain moments where premature ejaculation rears its ugly head are just that…moments, hinged on anxiety, decreased physical agility at that particular moment in time. It may also be related to the woman’s menstrual period and the physical/psychological changes which attend such instance. However, separate incidents, especially when they occur in increasing frequency and left unattended, may ultimately lead to more complex sexual dysfunction. It is, therefore, important to look into the matter before it becomes more serious in nature.
Because this dysfunction has become a quite common problem among men, there are now a lot of treatments which may be considered to help solve the problem. There is also the simulation method which can shed light as to what particular moments in the sexual act are likely the causes. This serves as a springboard for coming up with solutions.
Also gaining popularity as a possible resolution to the man’s inability to prolong the sexual act is the practice of masturbation. This provides the man with the venue to gain better control of his urges by utilizing the stop-start technique. In time, he can extend his ability to start and stop the urge to climax, gained through masturbation, to the sexual act with his partner.
With so many existing ways to overcome untimely ejaculation, all it takes is the willingness to look at these different techniques, try out those which are likely to work, and have the patience and readiness to try them out. Premature ejaculation can be overcome in time.
